RULES GOVERNING ALL CEMETERY LOTS

Woodlawn Cemetery will be governed by Oakley Baptist Church.

No one will have more than one tombstone to the lot, and all other graves can have temporary markers. Any statues or adornments must be placed on tombstones to allow for proper mowing and maintenance. Foot markers and veterans markers are allowed but must be flush to the ground.

All new tombstones must be flush with the ground and should not protrude above ground that could interfere with mowing or upkeep.

All graves must be dug according to specification of length and width.

All dirt must be removed from the lot, and all flowers will be removed from grave after two weeks from the day of burial.

All graves should be flat after graves have settled and will be taken care of by caretaker of cemetery, or under their supervision.

No one is allowed to build curbs or any obstructions on the lot.

If any headstone or monument becomes displaced due to natural disaster, animal interference or vandalism, the owner or responsible party of that plot is responsible for restoration of headstone or monument.

When purchasing a lot, monthly payments can be made with full price paid one year from purchase. Lot must be paid in full before it can be occupied. When purchasing a gravesite for immediate use, the price of the gravesite must be paid in full at that time. Cost of gravesite for members of Oakley Baptist Church is $600.00 and $1,200.00 for non members

When purchasing more than one lot, the full price of one lot must be paid as a down payment with the balance owed on any additional lots paid in monthly payments and complete balance paid at the end of one year from purchase. Any portion of unpaid property will automatically become cemetery property and can be re-sold.
FLORAL REGULATIONS AND MAITENANCE

Funeral flowers, baskets and easels will be removed from the grave one week from the day of burial. Any ribbons, keepsakes and special flower arrangements should be retrieved as soon as possible.

During grass mowing season, baskets, wreaths, easels, potted plants and decoration stands are not permitted. All flowers, plastic, silk or fresh must be contained in appropriate flower vases. Only temporary flower containers may be used. Permanent flower containers are not permitted.

Any flower arrangements that are discolored, wilted or generally unsightly will be removed. Any items or floral decorations blown from grave will be removed from the cemetery property.

Planting of trees, shrubbery, flowers or any spreading vines is not permitted.

All Christmas flowers and decorations will be removed starting the first day of February. All seasonal flowers are removed 30 days after the holiday.

During the mowing and ground maintenance season, mowing conditions may require permanent removal of all fresh floral items.

Mowing season generally spans from early March to mid-November depending on seasonal temperatures and weather conditions.

Ceramic statues, glass containers, porcelain or plastic figurines, decorative rocks, ceramic pots or breakables of any kind are not permitted.

All flowers or decorations to be removed from gravesite should be removed by responsible party.
